Here's a webcam that you can control: just type in the degrees and turn speed, and voila! The webcam view isn't very exciting, but the concept is pretty cool.

argh. I just typed a whole commentary on this article, about a 22-year-old who was not allowed to fly because of his controversial reading material, but I accidentally deleted it. Ah well. Conclusions: I'm sad that it's come to this, but I understand why it's happening. But I dearly hope this is a very temporary condition, and that our civil liberties are not permanently damaged. Being in the speech recognition industry, I found this article interesting. It's about having computers recognize simple sounds instead of speech:
