Police File

Our local newspaper sometimes prints blurbs about what the police have responded to in the last week. The ones from Belmont are often highly amusing. Here's a sampling:

Animal in the way
Someone reported a dead dear [sic] in the vicinity. The person later called that the deer got up and left the scene.

Citizen assistance
Laundry is not a police responsibility. A man staying at Extended Stay America called 911 because his clothes were stuck in the washing machine. He said he did not know what whom [sic] else to call. Police gave him a brochure that explained when to call 911 and helped him locate the number of the manager who can help him using the washing machine.

Animal control
Someone complained to police about 40 bunnies accidentally let loose by their owner.

Jemba Update

Well, after a few weeks of feeding through the tube, Jemba started eating on his own again. And a week later (last Friday) the tube was removed. He's back to his old self, eating and running around the house like crazy.

He is not 100% better; one of his liver values continues to be elevated and we have to give him steroids for a while. But it's a huge relief to have him eating again.

More photos are up on my Flickr site: photos from the San Jose Grand Prix, the Yahoo! company picnic, and the Tour de Peninsula.
