I just got an email from Jack Handey, that guy from Saturday Night Live who came up with Deep Thoughts. The email says "Please take my material off your sites immediately. You are violating my copyright."

The item in question is something I posted back in 2001, which is a pointer to a New Yorker article of some job rejection letters he wrote. I mention him by name and I included a one-paragraph excerpt.

Two questions: is this really a copyright violation? Is it really Jack Handey, or is someone just messing with me?
