This weekend we went geocaching for the first time. For those who haven't heard of it, it's like a high-tech treasure hunt. You can look up nearby locations online (for example at http://www.geocaching.com), and then you take your GPS and look for the location.

The cache is usually something like a tupperware container with a logbook for you to sign, and a bunch of trinkets. You're supposed to sign the log book, take a trinket, and leave something in its place.

We started off with one labeled "easy" which turned out to be a bit too easy--we ended up parking like 15 feet from it. Next time we'll try something more difficult. Still, it seems like a pretty cool idea to me--a hike plus a treasure hunt.
