A holiday meme..

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg nog. I remember a few years ago at work there was a lot of leftover egg nog in the fridge, and not many people around, and boy did I drink too much.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them around the tree? They just sit on the fireplace, unwrapped. Santa's got no time for wrapping!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I grew up with white, but now we have colored on our tree at home.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope.

5. When do you put your decorations up? This year we got our tree on the 2nd weekend of December and put it up, but due to me being sick and Jemba knocking down ornaments, we didn't actually finish decorating until a couple of days ago.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Yorkshire pudding. Our traditional Christmas dinner is roast beef and Yorkshire pudd.

7. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? What are you talking about? Santa brought me candy in my stocking this year.

8. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No!

9. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him? This year was sugar cookies and Spritz cookies. Plus carrots for the reindeer.

10. Snow! Love it or Dread it? It doesn't snow here, so I can say I love it.

11. Can you ice skate? Barely. When I was a kid I would go ice skating with my friend Vickie, but then I saw on the news an axe murderer who looked just like her dad and refused to go with them after that. In the late '90s my friend Ryan and I took skating lessons, and now I can go slowly around and around the rink, although people skating behind me tell me my ankles look weak. Thanks, busybodies!

12. Do you remember your favorite gift? There have been way too many, but some childhood highlights include a slot-car set and a plastic mat that came with dinosaurs and volcanoes.

13. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Spending it with my family.

14. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Spritz cookies.

15. What is your favorite holiday tradition? The Christmas tree.

16. What tops your tree? A tall red thing. Hard to describe; see photo of previous tree.

17. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving? Getting gifts is great, but better is picking out something just right for someone.

18. What is your favorite Christmas Carol? Silver Bells, Sleigh Ride, Do You Hear What I Hear?

19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Enh. I can take 'em or leave 'em.
