Boy it was windy at our house last night. According to our neighbor's weather station, the winds got up to 43 MPH. It was really whistling. Made me feel very grateful for having a roof over our heads.

It's interesting to see what kinds of Christmas decorations go up in different cities. In the city next door to us, San Carlos, people go nuts. There are giant blow-up santas, reindeer on the roof, lights on all the trees. In our neighborhood it's a lot more restrained. White icicle lights, colored ornaments on trees. Nothing on the roof.

I find it very interesting that different neighborhoods seem to have different holiday decorating culture. Perhaps if we put a blow-up Frosty in our front yard we could shift the tide.
