Sigh. I typed up this huge long rant about local phone service (the bane of my existance) and Netscape froze. urrgh.

Summary:

1) Moving. Signing up for new phone service. Didn't want SBC.

2) Chose AT&T.

3) Their IVR sucks. (That's their touch-tone system.)

4) It costs an extra $1 a month to list both my name and Chris's name in the phone book, because even though we're married, we don't share the same last name. The horror.

I can assure you the original entry I wrote was 10 times more amusing and fascinating than this.

And remember: always ask what promotions they have going. I got $25 off my first bill just for asking.
