Not much posting as of late, I know. Busy busy busy. Some things I've been up to lately:

Softball. Chris and I joined a softball team. Neither of us has ever played on a real team before, but my officemate (who is the manager of the team) talked me into it. I'm not a very good player but it's been surprisingly fun.

Guitar class. I bought a guitar recently but have not been playing very much. I just signed up for a class at the local adult school and have had two classes so far; it's definitely going to improve my playing.

In-laws visit. Chris's parents arrive tomorrow for a 10-day visit. We've been working on remodeling the guest room for a while (by "we" I mean "Chris") and have been finishing it up.

Cats. I know everyone is interested in a ten-page kitty report, but the short news is that Max has continued to get his mouth/paw ulcers, and the vet wants to try and figure out what he's allergic to. We've started with a restrictive food diet to make sure he is not allergic to his food. So now he's eating rabbit food. That is, food made out of rabbits. Max seems to like it ok, but poor Jemba hates it and has been losing weight.

We had a nice trip to Mendocino in July; pictures will be up someday. We went horseback riding on the beach, and went canoeing in Big River. It was a good weekend to be out of town since it was 115 inland on the drive up. In Mendocino it was in the 60s.
