Ok, I can vote again

The good news is, I am registered to vote again, and my provisional vote was counted.

The bad news is: I can't actually prevent politicians from getting my mailing address.

Apparently I was misinformed. In order to do this, you have to petition a judge as to why your name should not be on public record. It's really for people who need to hide, e.g. victims of domestic abuse who don't want their abuser to find them. It's not just to stop the nuisance of junk mail.

Bummer.
