Back in the early 1990s I went to a lot of Spike and Mike animation festivals. I am trying to remember a particular short I saw but can't find it anywhere on-line. I am not even positive it was at a Spike & Mike show; it could have been a different movie. If anyone recognizes it, let me know--it's driving me crazy!

It's about a cat and is narrated in a fake French accent. It's about "zee cat, who was not so nice", and there is a "sheep who mows the lawn". Anyone?

Ok, movie wrapup!
  • Firewall: I was hoping for a solid B action movie (a la Air Force One), but was disappointed. Too much unbelievable stuff, like--the bad guy laughed out loud while watching the Flintstones. Who has ever laughed out loud at that show? Also, I could not buy Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) as Harrison Ford's helpless secretary. She plays Chloe on 24 and is the uber hacker. And if Harrison Ford is such a hotshot computer guy, there's no way he's gonna dictate a letter! Etc etc.
  • Junebug: I liked this. Amy Adams was particularly amusing. Chris didn't like it that much, I think because it's not really about anything--just a family and their dynamics.
  • Bowfinger: Somewhat amusing.
  • Kill Bill Vol 1: Better than I thought it would be.
  • Wedding Crashers: This movie was awful. What a waste of money and talent.
  • Brokeback Mountain: Let's just say I've seen this three times. I don't know why it has affected me so much, but I couldn't stop thinking about it after I saw it the first time. I'm sure I'll watch it a few more times when the DVD comes out.
